It had been 2 days I handled the kids.
First day, I was seriously nervous.
I started drawing on the blackboard for the coming story-telling session, my time. XD
It was still very early in the morning and none of the kids were there yet.
The first encounter with the kids: around 8 something in the morning. *trembles and shakes*
They slowly arrived, most of them didn't make too much fuss. Lol.
The kids were like statues, sitting on the chairs without too much expression.
I guess they are scared and nervous like me. :'(
I helped them with their name tags and patted their heads.
THEY LOOKED LIKE ANGELS. OMG SO ADORABLE!
Since they were 5 years old, they could accommodate well to the environment and waved their parents goodbye.
I gave them Lego to play with.
They were extraordinary good at it and played the Lego with amazing dexterity.
I observed them for a couple of minutes and assisted some of them who still acted like statues.
Geez..
My mum collected all the Legos and instructed the kids to sit down on the floor in front of the class.
WUUKAY, SO IT'S MY TIME NOW!
*grinning from ear to ear, stomach churned up*
My mum pulled the blackboard with all the nice cartoons to the center, and I sat on a vry vry vry small chair on the right side.
I told them the story of "The Wicked Wolf and The Seven Little lambs".
Of couse, with funny gestures and changes of the pitch and voice as I demonstrated the Mother Lamb, The Little Lambs and The WOLF. XD
The kids all staring at me with their Big Dark Round Eyes. =DD
Too indulged i guess.
The funny thing was, when I told them the Wolf eaten up the six little lambs, they looked so indignant and angry I felt like laughing on the spot. XD
Finally I ended the story, and I asked them, "Is it nice? Do you like it?"
Chorus : "NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
*Smiling broadly*
I asked them a few questions and they were ebullient.
I asked them, "How does the Wolf die?"
One of them give me a really cute and longggg answer:
"It eats the lambs. Then it sleeps. Then, then, then... The Mother Lamb use scissors... Cut his tummy.... After cut, she put stones inside, then she sews it back. The Wolf damn fat, it's tummy too big, it goes to the river, wants to drink water... BOOM! It falls into the river. Die lorh!"
I was like "=.=" when I heard his answer. XDDDDD
After regaining myself, I said, "Owh, owh.. That's nice. Good answer.. Erm.. Okay.... I'll give u all stickers tomorrow."
XDDDDD
SO I BECAME THE FAMOUS "Xi Jie Jie" (Sister Xi) AND THE AWESOME STORY-TELLER. XDDDD
Second day was almost the same. :)
I got more familiar with wat I should do and got along with them fine. ^^
I got to know the kids from the other 2 classes too!
There were quite a lot of Malays, Indians and Sabahans.
They were equally adorable and polite! :)
Whew, I pasted lots of papers in their exercise books.
The job wasn't too hard but the quantitiy required was like wtf.
Haha...
Sorry I have to end dis post quite abruptly.
Need to go sleep now!
I'm in bondage to the kids! So I have to wake up early tomorrow. XD
See ya guys!
