An Inspiring Book ♥

Enlighten Your Mind is a wonderful book Hui Sean lent me.
It is in Chinese, but I really want to share with you guys about its inspiring contents.
So, I guess I'll try my best to translate it into English. ^^

First Lesson:
Feelings are not feelings, your feelings appear from your thoughts.
  • Sometimes you are joyous, and suddenly you think about something and you become miserable and depressed. In the reverse, you may be sullen at one time and smile ear to ear when you think about something else.
  • Actually, all the bad feelings and moods are the final scores of your own act of thinking. People have been mistaking feelings as FEELINGS because they are too familiar with them that they never notice the difference.
  • Your heart is always unpredictable, that is because your mind is changing with the time, thus your mood is controlled and goes up and down as well.
  • So, if you really dislike the feelings and the moods, JUST CHANGE YOUR THOUGHT! :)

Second Lesson:
Why do you have to leave the one you love, because of someone you hate?
  • I guess you have heard of something like this: Someone quitted his job because he was on a vry bad term with one of his colleagues.
Here's the conversation between the author and the guy: (A for Author and G for the Guy)

A: If it is not because of the guy, will you stay?
G: Of course, I love the job, but I hate that idiot. If he is there, I can't help feeling sick so I choose to leave.
A: Why do you let him become the centre of your life?
G: ......

  • So do you get it now? Hatred is usually deeper than Love. When you hate somebody, you actually involve more sentiments and slowly losing your own self. When you put too much attention on the person, then he will take over your world, he will become the centre of your life. Now look at this story.

It was the Science class. All the students were divided into groups of 12. A student went up to his teacher and asked to change to another group in the midst of doing a project.

Teacher: Why do you want to do so?
Student:
I hate one of the group member.

So the teacher changed him to another group, but she asked him something after that.

Teacher: Do you hate the other group members?
Student: No, I like them a lot.
Teacher: Then is the person you hate very important to your life?
Student: Important? No way! He is the most detestable creature I ever met!
Teacher:
Then why you can't stay for the other 10 ppl you like but leave for one person you hate?
  • We should not be affected by the person we dislike or hate, in fact, we should lead a happier and better life. That will be the best revenge! :)Why let someone you hate makes u leave someone you love? Why letthe least important person becoming the centre of your life?

"The real wealth depends on the amount of HAPPINESS you owned!"

[ps: I dis book. ;p]

^^ A Way to Earn Money. ^^

Teo Chew Association will give out money to Teo Chew students annually.
So today, it was the same thing again.

Geez, it just won't stop raining!!!
I was soaked wet running all the way down from the car up to the entrance of Teo Chew Association premise.
Before the money-giving ceremony started, there was a little game.
All the "scholars" would need to draw a piece of paper out of a whole stack.
On each of the paper, there would be some chinese words.
We had to pronounce the word in Teo Chew!
Those who got it right could get an Ang Paw.

OMG, I'm sooooo bad in dialect that the most I know about Teo Chew dialect was "wa si Teo Chew nang" [translation: I'm a Teo Chew!]
:'((((
I kinda panicked when it was my turn to draw the paper. I got dis:

Why Why Why... Why is it soooo hard? I had no idea how to pronounce it right. T.T
Hui Ling and her friend was sitting beside me.
They were asking some women sitting beside them, so they helped me to pass my paper to the women.
Okay, so they told me it should be pronounced as "Zhap Chuan Zhap Miea", yea la, something like dat. XD
So when the man with the Ang Paws approached me, I slowly pronounced out the "Zhap.. Chuan.. Zhap.. Miea" in a vry bad accent.
He startled me by telling me in a booming voice, "No no no.. It's Zhap Chuan Zhap Mui! There are 2 ways you can pronounce the last word and in dis idiom, you should use Mui instead of Miea."
I nodded my head like a blur.
He gave me an Ang Paw anyway. Heheheee.

I got around RM96 today!
RM45 for getting 9 As, each A RM5, haha.
RM45 for getting A for Chinese.
I got 2 Ang Paws too. One for the scary pronunciation game, and another one for being among the 10 Teo Chew ppl who got A for Chinese. XD
So ppl out there, a way to earn money is to study hard! ^^
Zzzzzzzzzzz.............
