Growing Up. :)

I learned piano since I was 6.
Let's see, this is already the 12th year I learned it!
I won't deny my passion for it, as it is the first instrument I learnt.

And then violin took over the passion.
I started my violin lessons when I'm 11, 5 years after I laid my hands on piano.
It had been a pretty okay progress as I got the basics in piano.
Violin is much harder than piano as the you have to press on the fingerboard correctly to get the right tune.
If you press 1mm higher or lower than the exact place, you will get the WRONG TUNE!
On the other hand, piano is already tuned and all you have to do is press on the keyboard!
That is the vast difference between these 2 instruments.

I could still remember the sore feelings on my neck the first few months I learnt the violin.
I still haven't get a shoulder rest and frankly I didn't know there was such a thing.
I was pretty annoyed that violin was torturing me.
Everytime I played, I have to keep a nice posture, and that made things worse.
I even thought that I didn't want to play violin anymore!

The weird thing was I started to like it, I dunno when the feeling began.
When I knew about it, I had already inclined towards violin! Haha.
It was pretty unbelievable. XD
Perhaps because I could take it here and there, and I could have MY OWN VIOLIN.
Unlike piano, which you have to suit yourself according to the piano where it is provided.
You can't take your own piano there, it's too heavy!

So yea, I love violin. :) [piano comes in second!] ^^
