Pending pictures! Totally a week ago. XD
Miki’s colleague, Kana-e, came to Shanghai last week and Miki decided to bring her out for dinner and a Jazz music session at Cotton Club. =) I tagged along too, excited to know another new Japanese friend! ^^
Surprisingly, Kana-e spoke better Chinese than Miki! And I learned afterwards that both of them took Chinese class in Japan, and Kana-e happened to be more hardworking than Miki that time! LOL!!!
That was my first time at Cotton Club. It wasn’t really a club actually. I think I’ll just call it a pub? It was just a place for ppl to listen to music and have cocktails and wine. The performance started around 9pm and usually continued until 3am.
We got there around 9pm and soon the performance started. Most of the Jazz performers were westerners and they were really really talented. The guitarist strummed the guitar with such ease as if the guitar was a part of his body. I think the music is mainly Country rock or something. You’ll feel that life is so good when you listen to them. =) Totally relaxing.
I just had fruit punch coz I couldn’t get used to alcohols. My camera was having some sort of tantrum that night, so we took some eerie pics like this one below. =.=
L to R: Ellen, me, and Kana-e! ^^
Alright that was like a week ago. And this one was just yesterday! =) Went shopping at Raffle’s Mall with Miki.
Had our lunch at Ajisen Ramen.
Miki’s Cheese Beef Ramen.
Miki! =DD
I tried out the new ramen! It was Tom Yam Fish Ramen and it tasted PERFECT!!! The tomyam was totally authentic and the fish went well with it! Oh no, I need to go there and eat it again!
Mesmerized with the smell emanating. =))) *Drooling*
=))) Continue practise now! Byeeee!
