Attention.

A very rare pictureless post. :)

All the international students gathered for a meeting this afternoon to listen to a serious talk about the fire at Jing'An District yesterday.
We were banned from using any other electric appliances other than those already supplied in our rooms. So.. no more kettles, fridges and cooking stove.

The school was very firm in this to prevent any possibility in causing fire. A few years ago, a huge fire occurred at the old hostel because some girls used the heating appliances in the room. One big mistake they did was they opened the windows to let the air in after the fire started. Perhaps they thought by opening the windows, the room wouldn't be so smoky. However they forgot one thing, oxygen helped in combustion. So the fire spreaded very fast and tragedy struck.

And remember don't use water to put out the fire that started caused by the explosion of electric appliances or plugs. Use the carbon dioxide extinguisher instead. Coz water conducts electricity!

So much so about fire. Stayed in the room almost the whole day. My room is now in a new arrangement!
LOL. Thanks to Miki's enthusiasm.
She just jumped up from her bed this morning and said, "Let's clean up the room!" And we moved the beds, swept the floor, cleared the dust, moved the broken tv onto one of the tables.. etc. So more space now! Teeheee!!

Will have a spotcheck tomorrow afternoon by the teachers from the International Students Office. They will check and see if we use any banned appliances, and they gonna confiscate them when they see any! Whoops! I gonna hide my kettle in my cupboard! LOL..

ps: Weird ppl everywhere in Shanghai. gee. I should just paste a huge "I love my bf. No disturb." label on my head. Annoying. x.x

Going practise now! Ciao!
