So-called Excitement. Duh~

It was the beginning of July, but it was certainly not a great one.

We were baffled when Physics teacher and 2 of the upper six students strode into our class right after the assembly. The teacher ordered us to empty our bags and show them all the books as the 2 seniors searched the bags on the inhabited seats.

I knew they were looking for something, and I knew they were going to find them in the class. Still, I didn't have what they wanted, and so I emptied my bag, which consisted of 2 novels and several notebooks.

So, the frantic search ended when the seniors dug out 2 reference books from the bag of one of my classmates. I could see the teacher's face turned from pale white to red.
She was mad, TERRIBLY MAD.

She demanded the name of the classmate and the unlucky guy stepped into the class casually just at the right time, knowing nothing about what would befall on him.

"YOU, COME RIGHT HERE!"
The teacher looked like she would slaughter him right there and then. Her eyes spat fire and GEEZ, I had never seen anyone that furious. She shot him several questions and warned all of us not to STEAL any more library books. Then, she stressed that it would be the LAST warning. She was still livid and fuming as she continued the search to the next class. It was just a matter of minutes when we heard her yelling again, obviously she caught another "book thief". XD

I disagreed with the term "Book Thief", as I prefered to put it as "Book Smuggler". I had to admit that I did not totally approve of what my friends did, but I could say that they had their reasons. They were pretty desperate, especially with the rules that we couldn't borrow any Form 6 reference books out. They needed all sorts of help to understand their lessons better, and different editions of books supplied valuable details and facts. Albeit they smuggled the books out, I believed that they would return them as soon as they had studied what they wanted.

Anyway, yes, it was illegal, so I would never blame the teacher for screaming at us and I just feel sorry for my friends. I knew they had learned their lessons and it was a high price to pay, INDEED.

Even though I did nothing, I had to endure the same punishment as my colleagues. We were banned from the school library for the whole year. No more sweet escape to the cool and deliciously refreshing sanctuary, much to my disappointment. It was always one of my favourite places in the school, if not, the only one.

The oddest thing of all, I was actually enjoying the dramatic effect of the incident. It became pretty entertaining as the teachers came into the class, exclaiming how disappointed they were and what a shocking news it was. At least, the lessons wouldn't be the usual boring one.

Haha, I guess I am a weirdo. Hopefully teachers will allow us to visit the library soon. X.x
