Beach BBQ! :)

I dunno who came up with this wonderful idea. XD
We gonna spent 2 days and 1 night at Cherating.
So yea.
I didn't stay for the night though, just in case my mum ate me up. *roll eyes*
Anywaysss, I been there in the evening for the BBQ and all the fun!


OMG, the stars that night were too beautiful to be true. A myriad of them.
Ying, Yue and I were so thrilled to see those blinking stars in the sky.
We tried to capture them with camera but with no avail.
The lucky thing was, despite the total darkness, Ying's camera flash played wonder at taking clear picture.
Thumbs up for Sony! Lol.

I as the photographer, had to estimate where they are sitting, and try to figure out whether I could get them all fit into the picture IN THE DARKNESS.

I have NO IDEA where they were, just following my instinct.
And seems like, woman's instinct always works. SEE THE PICTURE I GOT. :)))

Haha, and then I wanna take pictures with them too. So I asked Ah Cheok to take it.
So it was proven that guy's instinct was SLIGHTLY worse than woman's.
See he only got us into HALF of the picture, wasting another half for sand. XDD











Even though Wan Ching's birthday had passed. We decided to give her a belated birthday bash. So we tricked her to the beach and got to her with a cake with candles!
Too bad she kinda knew it already. :'( Lol. Not that surprising anymore. XD
THE CAKE TASTED GREAT!

Now the fun began! We put on a fire and sat in a circle around it. :)

And we played games like truth or dare and a funny Maths game suggested by Siong. ^^

The lighting was pretty, so we took pictures without flash.

Lol. These 2 books are the biggest contrast ever.

One totally exposes the brutality of the real world, while another one is completely fictional with guy as handsome as Greek God, super powers and undying love.

My review marks:

For Slumdog Millionaire - 10/10

As for Twilight - 5/10

Maybe I prefer something much more realistic. Haha.

Glad to get home. Haha.

Slumdog Millionaire ♥

Okay, first thing first.
I'm NOT watching this movie right now.

Before anything else, the best credit goes to ....... YI ZHEN for lending me the book! :)

"Slumdog Millionaire" is a completely amazing book that kept me awestruck all the way through my reading.
I'm still reading it though, 50 ++ pages to go. Lol.
It's absolutely bizarre that 18 year-old Ram Mohammad Thomas got such luck to win a billion in a quiz show, just because all the questions asked were related to his life, EVERY SINGLE ONE.
As he told his stories to his lawyer, Smita, mysteries unfolded and you could only gap at the things he had gone through in the 18 years since he was borned: murders, gays, rapes, living in the brink of penury......

It's a fabulous book and a completely stunning story. :)

One of my friends did asked me, "Why do you choose to read a book rather than watching a movie? Doesn't it save time better?"

Well, I never find movies more intriguing than a book.
Movies can never portray the real character FULLY.
That is the conclusion I derived after I compared Harry Potter's movies and the books.
Sometimes, the story line is too long for a movie and they have to compress everything into at most 3 hours, so they EDIT, CUT and CHANGE it. :(((((
It loses all the originality of the story line, and the colour of the characters gone with it as well.
There are times where human cannot make out the effect described in the book, so they simply skip the part and spoil EVERYTHING!

What's more? We can never know what the characters are thinking by watching movies. They will only act those things out in expressions and what we can do is merely GUESS.
Bad actors or actresses only make things worse.

So yea, books are the best! ^^

Mr Khoo's Birthday Party!

Muahahaaaa. So our beloved teacher, Mr Khoo had his birthday yesterday!!!

:) Actually teacher's birthday should be on next week, but something came up so we celebrated it yesterday in a pub, Heritage. ^^
Lol, Heritage didn't look like any of the pubs I had heard of. It was pretty tranquil and the lightings were nice. No much people were there except us and another 2 family having their dinner.

The food started with a huge black pepper lamb leg, and then french fries, salad, fish fingers, japanese wu dong mee, and of course cake!

Owh yea, so Jee Jung, me and Sin Ying took pics together using her Sony camera! ^^

There were some really exotic pictures on the wall. :)
