OMG. THIS IS SUPER BELATED.
I should have wrote about this days ago, but too busy with studies! So here goes the story of my New Year Eve! :DDDDD
Was honoured to be invited to Kim’s friend – Jimmy’s apartment for an authentic Korean dinner! :DDD
Only 6 of us were invited. Coz his apartment wasn’t the really spacious type. Jimmy was a really great cook! The food were YUM! :DDDD
We got the Korean Curry Chicken and Korean New Year Cake! :DDD
And my fav was the Korean BBQ pork! HAHA! :) Btw Kathy thought the Korean New Year Cake was Korean Spaghetti! :) It did looked like a larger size pasta though. Don’t you agree? XD
Let’s start eating peeps! :D
Kim on the left and Jimmy on the right! :)
Fang Fang getting tipsy!
Didn’t have much pics of myself there coz Julia who took the pics was sitting from this angle. Haha. And Kathy hasn’t upload the pics from her cam yet!
After the dinner, we told Jimmy and Kim “Kam-seung-ham-nida” and continued the night to Xin Tian Di! :DDDD Some of the guys stayed at Jimmy’s house for more drinking session, while we girls and Fang Fang took a cab.
Just so you know, the cab could only take 4 ppl max everytime. And there were 5 of us, so the driver rejected to let us get in at first. However after our persisting imploration, he finally gave in. So Fang Fang had to squeeze and hide at the back seat with Julia, Kathy and Pau! :D
We got out of the cab like lightning once we arrived. There were quite a lot of traffic cops there as the place was already flooded with ppl who came to countdown. Luckily none of them notice there were 5 ppl coming down from the cab! LOL!
We went straight to Starbucks to meet up with others who didn’t go to the Korean dinner! :)))) With my bunny mittens!
After everyone arrived, we went out to find some place to sit and eat. Starbucks already BURST with ppl. XD
Found a little cute stall selling rabbit ears and hats! Bought this for RMB 30! Rabbit for Rabbit Year! :D
I got rabbits all over me! XDDDDDDD
Quite a funny sight. XDDDD
All the restaurants/cafes/bistros were ALL FULL. We continued to walk walk walk and search search search and never forget to take pics in between.
Finally!! We found a veryyyyyy empty restaurant. We were like, “EHHHH. This restaurant no ppl whehh! So lucky!” LOL.
A picture of cutey Pau with rabbit ear which matched with her furry jacket. :DDDD
The pretty darlings! :DD Kat and Pau!
Pau and Jesslyn darling! ^_^
LOL. The white and pink bunnies self-snapping session.
Sleepy bunny~
My fav pic! :DDDD
We just ordered some side dishes coz everyone already had dinner. We had Xiao Long Bao! :DDD
Pau with her YumYum look! XD Hamster face! WAHAHAHA~
It was around 11.50pm. We got out of the restaurant and went downstairs to join in the countdown. LOOK AT THE CROWD OMGGGGGGG! Must be more than a thousand ppl!
We got out there and squeezed with the crowd like sardins. Then we looked up at the huge screen and counted down
5

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
It was such an awesome feeling when a thousand plus ppl shouted that together! Then everyone hugged each other and couples kissed hard and long celebrating the moment! Some of the foreigners behind me tugged at my rabbit hat and told me Happy New Year as well when I turned my head! LOL. Happy New Year everyone!!! :DDD
Of coz. Group picture wasn’t going to be missed! :D Credits to Mr Guard there! :D
And of coz need to take pic with the super huge poster of Lee Hom at the back! He was having his concert right there, but we had to spend like RMB 600 in Xin Tian Di to get a ticket, so we gave up. XD
We decided to take the subway back. When we were walking to the subway, we saw lots of ppl playing with these small fireworks! I went up to ask some strangers where they bought it, they showed me the direction and gave me a packet for free! HAHAHA! So nice!!! THANK YOU! :)))
Then I went to get another 3 more packets and played it with others! :)))
Pictures!!!
It looks like a fire dandelion right?
A picture of a lady with pretty Lady-Gaga-ish outfit. LOL.
Such a great countdown! :))))))
